Portion Cups are made with 100% roasted coffee extract from Japan. Since Portion Cups come in liquid form, authorities in Japan, the US, and the EU require us to add additional natural and permitted ingredients for: Large-scale production at competitive cost Shelf stability (24 months at room temperature) Consistent taste, texture, and aroma Product safety and consumer satisfaction This includes sugar, permitted flavorings, thickeners for smooth texture, and coloring to maintain coffee’s natural rich appearance.

To create a smooth, creamy texture and prevent separation. To stabilize coffee’s aroma and flavor across its shelf life. To maintain the appealing deep color of freshly brewed coffee. Without these, the product would lose taste, aroma, and appearance within months.
